SAFETY EQUIPMENT

To help you identify the correct safety equipment to use when operating a particular piece of equipment, we have used the following symbols throughout this website.
EYE PROTECTION
Suitable goggles must be worn. Minimum EN166 Grade B. Welding masks will be supplied when hiring equipment.
DUST MASKS
This equipment will create dust and a suitable mask or respirator should be worn.
EAR DEFENDERS
This type of equipment has a high noise level and ear plugs or general purpose ear defenders should be worn.
SAFETY FOOTWEAR
It is recommended to wear BS EN345 for toe protection.
PROTECTIVE GLOVES
Rigger gloves or gauntlets, PVC or cotton should be worn.
SAFETY HELMETS
Compulsory on sites.

POWER BREAKER RCD
This is required for use with this tool. All Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) is available to purchase when hiring any equipment.
HAND ARM VIBRATION
It is advisable to reduce the risks of Hand Arm Vibration by following the points below.
Select the right equipment and follow the vibration levels that are advised. Don't grip the tool too tightly let the tool do the work. Follow operating instructions and always wear good gloves and keep warm and dry.
  • Low vibration levels 8 Hours Max.
  • Med vibration levels 2 Hours Max.
  • High vibration levels Minimum usage time (Refer to safety instructions on individual equipment)
